    NEWS:

Congrats to the 16s for going 2-1 in the Rumble, beating the Boston Warriors and the Vermont Basketball Club before losing a heartbreaker to the Metro Hawks at the buzzer to take 2nd in their pool and unfortunately not advancing. There was no silver division in the U16 division at Rumble. This team continues to improve and is looking forward to making a run in July.

Congratulations to the U16s who won the Central Jersey Hawks Shore Shootout, going 4-0 to bring home the championship! The key to this team's success is defense and rebounding, and when they do both well, good things happen.

Many of the 16s have been invited to multiple "elite" camps in the month of June by many different universities and colleges.  These are invite only camps.

The 16s had another great showing at the Southern Jam Fest, winning their pool and advancing to the Gold bracket where they met Team Final in the first round. This was a classic backyard brawl, with the game tied at half. With four minutes to go, Team NJABC was up by a few, but in the end, lost to a very talented Team Final team by 4. Team NJABC U16s continue to get better every weekend, advancing to the championship game against Team Kobe at the Philly Invitational, battling DC Assault at the Pitt Jam Fest down to the wire, and giving Team Final (the eventual Southern champs) a true test. This team is shaping up to peak in July.

The U16 team competed extremely well at the Pitt Jam Fest - playing 4 games in one day! The competition was tough, but the 16s prevailed winning 3 games and losing the fourth game to a strong DC Assault team in the quarter-finals.

CONGRATULATIONS to the U16 team for finishing in 2nd place to Team Kobe (PA) in the Philly Invitational! This was the team's first tournament this 2009 season with a few new players added to the team. With hard-work and team-work, this should be a successful season for the 16s!

Team NJABC U16 team will be very competitive this 2009 season and will play a national schedule. During the live period in the month of July, the U16 team will be playing in the top showcase tournaments and individual camps, including multiple Hoop Group events.
